Logan Brill at the Keller Bar

Logan Brill sings at the Keller Bar in Indianapolis.
Nashville, Tennessee-based singer/songwriter, Logan Brill took the stage at the Keller Bar (inside the Rathskeller) on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in Indianapolis. Brill has a wonderful range, in that she can sing laid back and light tunes with beauty and clarity and then surprise you by belting out a blues number with substance.

As you’ll be able to tell from this clip, Keller Bar is a challenging venue. The room is long and narrow with two rows of tables and chairs separated by a single aisle, with the stage on one end and the very crowded bar on the other. At times it can be difficult to hear the singer over the din of the crowd.

Brill performed a strong pair of sets with covers of popular songs she made her own, as well as a solid group of originals. She covered everyone from the Rolling Stones to Stevie Nicks with equal poise.

The stunning Brill did stretch credulity a bit by singing Dolly Parton’s signature “Jolene”. If Jolene can take Brill’s man away just because she can, all I have to say is I’d really like to meet Jolene.

Here she sings a cover of John Prine’s ‘Make Me An Angel’.
